Stolen Innocence

When I was a child, my innocence was stolen.
‘Twas ripped away by my daddy, then trampled and muddied.
He gave me fear and shame in its place, then blamed me for his crime.
Hopeless and alone in my pain, I cried out for Christ to release me from shame.
“Fear not My child, I will set you free from the shame, fear and blame, which are his to bear, not yours.”

Five Sentence Fiction – Innocence

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word.

The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This week: INNOCENCE

    • Yes Shail, it’s a sad but true story, and sadly, there are way too many other children who suffer the same fate. Thank you for reading and commenting.

      God bless you,
      Cheryl
