Disappointment enveloped her. She was so sure that the promotion was hers, yet once again, she had failed. It seemed like she was destined to fail at everything, first her marriage, and now her career.

Tears ran down her cheeks, as she sat alone, sipping tea. Then, in her mind’s eye, she saw her grandmother sipping tea with her, “Child, count it all joy when trials come your way, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Success is not measured by your triumphs. It is found in how you respond to life’s failures.”

She smiled. “Victory is mine!”
